Day 1: Transfer from Airport to Dogubayazit

Meet our Mount Ararat trekking guide at Domestic Airport (Van/Ağri/Iğdır) and set off for Doğubayazıt (1-2 hours).

If you land at Van Ferit Melen Airport.

-Van/Doğubeyazıt 180 km. (2 hours 30 minutes)

The road is 18 meters high and 77 meters wide and named after the Ottoman sultan Murat IV.

We will stop at Muradiye waterfall.

If you land at Iğdır Şehit Bülent Aydın Airport

Igdir/Dogubeyazit 55km (45-60 minutes)

Our Mount Ararat hiking guide will give a program briefing and will help you to rent Mount Ararat climbing equipment in Doğubeyazıt in case of missing equipment that will make the final equipment check.

Overnight accommodation in Doğubeyazıt before the Mount Ararat excursion

Day 2 Transfer from Dogubayazt to Mount Ararat Base Camp

Have a buffet breakfast at the hotel at 8.00 am for a pleasant trip to Mount Ararat

After breakfast, meet your Mount Ararat hiking guide at the hotel at 9:00 am

Our team will transfer you to Cevirme Village at an altitude of 2200m for a tour of Mount Ararat. Mount Ararat adventure starts from the village of Çevirme. Approximately 35 minutes later you will reach the village of Çevirme. From Çevirme Village (2200m) start the climb to Camp 1 (3200m) for the Mount Ararat adventure.

This part of the Mount Ararat trekking route takes approximately four hours or five hours depending on the pace of the group.

The distance we hiked on day one was approximately 7.1 km

Our team will transfer all luggage to Camp 1 with mules for you. The temperature during the Mt. Ararat climbing season is +20/+25 at night and may drop to minus degrees at the second camp in the fall.

Food, drinks and refreshments will be ready for us when the group reaches Mt. Ararat base camp.

We are setting up our tents together. In the afternoon we will have free time to explore Mount Ararat, take photos, get to know the Kurdish culture.

Meals are eaten at 17:00-18:00 in the dining tents set up at the Mount Ararat base camp.

A short briefing for the Mount Ararat expedition is shared with the group by our guide. 22:00 lights out

A spectacular overnight stay in a tent under the stars at Mount Ararat base camp (3200m).

Day 3 Climb from Ararat Base Camp to Ararat Camp 2

Before breakfast, prepare your luggage and hand it over to our teammates for transfer by mules to Camp 2.

Start the day well with a delicious breakfast at Mount Ararat base camp before your Mount Ararat excursion.

After breakfast, start the climb to Camp 2 (4200 m)

The climb takes about 4-5 hours and the distance is 6.5 km.

Tea, coffee, fruit platter and snacks will be ready for you when you arrive at the second camp.

After dinner at 17:00, our guide will give information about the summit route of Mount Ararat.

He will check your equipment necessary for climbing Mount Ararat and give information about the use of equipment (e.g. crampons, shoes, trekking poles, head lamps)

Have an early dinner around 17:00 and go to sleep early because you will wake up early for the climb.

Day 4: Climbing from Second Camp to Ararat Peak and Back to Base Camp

The most critical day of the 6-day Mount Ararat tour

Our guide will wake you up before dawn at 00:00-1:00 am for an overnight breakfast which is different from a typical breakfast time. Have breakfast and take a thermos of hot water or tea with you for lunch.

(The reason why Mount Ararat trekking companies depart at 1:00 am at night is that the weather and the ground is more favorable for climbing. To watch the sunrise on Mount Ararat and to see its shadow resembling a Pyramid.)

Start the summit climb under the leadership of your Mount Ararat climbing guide

From the summit of Ararat, if the weather is clear, you will have a mesmerizing view of Turkey, Iran and Armenia.

After the summit, we will descend to Camp 2 for some rest (1-2 hours) and re-energize

We will collect our tents and luggage, which will be transferred by mules to Camp 1

Dinner 17:00-18:00 and the success of the Mt. Ararat climb is celebrated in the tent at the base camp.

Overnight in tent at Mount Ararat base camp.

Day 5: Transfer from Mount Ararat Base Camp to Dogubayazit

After completing our trip to Mount Ararat, we have breakfast at 8:00 in the morning and go down to Cevirme village at 9:00 (2-3 hours) and transfer to Doğubayazıt by minibus.

We rest for 2 hours at the hotel in Doğubayazıt.

We visit the 17th century Ishak Pasha Palace

Celebration dinner at a local restaurant and a certificate of completion for climbing Mount Ararat

Overnight stay at the hotel (Dogubayazit)

Day 6: Transfer to Dogubayazit and Airport
