Trekking Tour to Three Volcanic Peaks

Experience a true escape, alone with nature, in the untouched nature of Nemrut, in Türkiye’s largest crater lake.

Day 1: Transfer from Airport to Mount Nemrut

Meet our guide at Van Airport (depending on your arrival time)

Get some rest for the trip to Nemrut Crater Lake. Transfer from Van Airport to Nemrut Crater (2.5 hours)

Let’s set up our tents together at Nemrut Crater Lake.

Free time before dinner.

Dinner at Nemrut Crater (17:00)

Our guide will give a short briefing for tomorrow.

Overnight in a tent at Nemrut Crater (Nemrut Camping Area)

Day 2: Hiking to Mount Nemrut and transfer to Mount Süphan

After an open buffet breakfast at the Nemrut Crater Lake, we start our hike to the crater of Mount Nemrut (2800m), one of the youngest volcanoes in the region. (3 hours)

At the summit, you will see the incredible view of the Nemrut Caldera located in the western part of Lake Van.

We go down to the campsite, pack up our tents.

We transfer to Mount Süphan campsite (2 hours), set up our tents together.

We have an early dinner and a short briefing for the summit climb of Mount Süphan.

Day 3: Climbing Mount Süphan (4058m)

For the summit climb of Mount Süphan, our guide will wake you up early before sunrise (04-05:00) before a typical breakfast time.

We take our lunch with us and start our hike to the summit (Round trip 12 hours)

At the summit of Mount Süphan at 4058m, we will enjoy the magnificent view of Lake Van and the natural mountain range, take photos for 30-40 minutes

We will slowly descend to the campsite

We will have dinner and celebrate our success in climbing Mount Süphan

Overnight stay in a tent (Süphan Camp Area)

Day 4: Transfer from Mount Süphan to Doğubayazıt

After breakfast, we pack up our tents and transfer to Doğubayazıt

We will settle into our hotel and rest.

Lunch at a local restaurant in the city (Local Kurdish food)

We visit the 17th century İshak Pasha Palace. We rest and have free time in the afternoon

We have dinner at a local restaurant. Our guide will give a briefing about the Mount Ararat tour program and check the equipment for the Mount Ararat summit climb

Overnight accommodation at the hotel (Doğubayazıt)

Day 5: Climbing from Doğubeyazıt to Mount Ararat Base Camp (3200m)

After breakfast, transfer from Doğubeyazıt to Cevirme Village at 2200m altitude.

Our teammates will transfer all the luggage to Camp 1 for you

Start our climb from Cevirme Village (2200m) to Camp 1 (3200m)

Food, drinks and refreshments will be ready for us at Camp 1

We set up our tents together. Free time before dinner

Dinner at Mount Ararat base camp (18:00) Our guide will give a short briefing for tomorrow

Overnight in a tent at Mount Ararat base camp (Ararat Camp 1)

Day 6: Climbing from Mount Ararat Base Camp to Second Camp (4200m)

Before breakfast, prepare your luggage and tents for the transfer to Camp 2 and hand them over to our teammates.

After an open buffet breakfast at Mount Ararat base camp, start climbing to Camp 2 (4200m)

Before dinner, our guide will check your equipment for the summit (e.g. crampons, shoes, trekking poles, headlamps)

Have an early dinner around 17:00 and go to bed early because you will wake up early

Overnight in a tent at Mount Ararat second camp (4200m)

Day 7: Ascent to the Summit from Mount Ararat Second Camp and Return to Camp 1

The most critical day of the Mount Ararat expedition

Our guide will wake you up before sunrise around 1-2 am, have an early breakfast, take your lunch and hot water in a thermos

Start climbing the summit of Mount Ararat under the leadership of our local Mount Ararat guide

At the summit of Mount Ararat at 5137 m, we will admire the view beyond the borders of Turkey, Iran and Armenia.

After the summit, we will descend to Camp 2 for some rest (1-2 hours)

Pack your tents and luggage and hand them over to our teammates, your luggage will be transferred to Camp 1

Descent to Camp 1 (2 hours)

We will have dinner at the Mount Ararat base camp and celebrate our success in climbing the summit of Mount Ararat

Overnight stay in a tent (Ararat Camp 1)

Day 8: Transfer from Mount Ararat Base Camp to Doğubayazıt

After open buffet breakfast at Mount Ararat base camp, we descend to Cevirme village (2-3 hours) and transfer to Doğubayazıt

We settle in the hotel in Doğubayazıt and rest

We visit the footprints of Noah’s Ark. Afternoon rest and free time

Celebration dinner at a local restaurant. (Local Kurdish food)

Overnight stay at the hotel (Doğubayazıt)

Day 9: Transfer from Doğubayazıt to Airport

After breakfast, transfer to Van airport

Say goodbye to our guide and return home with wonderful memories of Mount Ararat Adventure.
