Cilo Mountain is one of the highest and least explored mountains in Türkiye and offers unique trekking experiences for adventure enthusiasts.

Day 1: From Airport to Hakkari and a Short Tour

Explore the Hidden Peaks of Turkey

Meet our guide at Van airport for Cilo Mountain Turkey tour (morning flight is preferred) and rest at our hotel in Hakkari before Cilo Mountain nature walk. Arrival at Hotel from Van (3 hours)

A short tour of Çavuştepe Castle, Urartu rock inscriptions, Hoşap Castle and Gündoğdu cave

Have a welcome meal at a local restaurant

Day 2: Discover Berçelan Plateau

After breakfast, transfer to Berçelan Plateau by vehicle for the climb to Cilo Mountains, one of the hidden mountains of Türkiye, where we will find ourselves in the middle of Hakkari and Cilo Mountains

The Cilo Mountains hiking tour starts from Barçelan Plateau.

Start hiking to Z0inil Hill, where we will take a short break

We will camp in Mergan region

Discover the life of nomads in the virgin nature of Hakkari, the beautiful surroundings of Seyithan and Lis glacier lakes. The total distance is approximately 15 km

We walk back to our camp and have dinner, our guide will give a short briefing for tomorrow

Overnight in a tent before starting the glacier hike in Turkey (Berçelan Plateau)

Day 3: Discover the Cilo Glaciers

After breakfast, we will pack our tents and equipment and set off towards the Cilo Glaciers, known as the Turkish Alps.

We will start our walk from the campsite on the Mergan Plateau to the Cilo Mountains, which are the second highest peaks in Turkey.

We will continue our walk along the Spixane River from the Mergan Plateau to the Cilo Sait Glaciers and discover million-year-old glaciers, waterfalls and glacial lakes. Take some photos and renew our energy. The total distance is approximately 14 km.

We will walk back to our camp on the Mergan Plateau and have dinner, our guide will give a short briefing for tomorrow.

Day 4: Explore Helel Valley

After breakfast, we pack our tents and equipment and are ready to set off towards Helel Valley in the untouched nature of Hakkari

We start our walk back to Hakkari, along the way we will visit Kırıkdağ village, Gelezo waterfall, Gelezo church and Mate church.

A short break and shopping break in the center of Hakkari, continue to Depin bridge and Helel church and walk in Helel valley

Discover the surroundings of Helel valley, waterfalls and Sümbül mountain (3467m). Total distance is approximately 16km

Check in at a hotel in Helel valley, have dinner, our guide will give a short briefing for tomorrow

Day 5: Short walk to Zap Valley and Transfer to Airport

After breakfast, we will take a short walk and take photos in Hakkari Zap Valley, walk to Ava Are waterfall (approximately 5 km) and return to our vehicle.

Our program will end at 14:00 and transfer to Van airport (3 hour drive)

Say goodbye to our guide and return home with wonderful memories.
