Two Summits, One Spirit: Journey to the Heart of Ararat!

Day 1: Transfer from Airport to Doğubayazıt

Meet your Mount Ararat tour guide at the airport (Iğdır/Van/Ağrı)

Transfer to Doğubeyazıt (Iğdır/50 minutes/distance 53 km) drink your hot and cold drinks at a cute little cafe on the way and enjoy the view of Mount Ararat.

Van airport (2 hours 21 minutes/170 km) Let’s take a short break at Muradiye waterfall on the way.

The waterfall, named after the Ottoman Emperor IV Murat, is 18 m high and has a fascinating view.

Ağrı airport (1.5 hours/100 km)

Have a welcome dinner at a local restaurant with your Mount Ararat hiking guide in the evening and let our guide check your climbing equipment before the Mount Ararat trip, help you rent Mount Ararat climbing equipment in Doğubeyazıt for missing equipment and give a briefing about the Mount Ararat tour.

Day 2: Transfer to Little Ararat Mountain

05:00 AM for the Mount Ararat adventure tour Transfer from hotel to Little Ararat Mountain (2 hours)

Don’t forget to put snacks and water in your backpack!

Transfer to the starting point with 4×4 vehicles

From the starting point to the summit (5-6 hours)

After climbing the Little Ararat Summit (3925) transfer to the Great Ararat base camp (3200m) (1.5 hours)

Eating at the Ararat base camp in the evening and a small celebration for the Little Ararat summit success

Day 3: Climbing to the Second Camp (4200)

Before breakfast, prepare your luggage and tents for the transfer to Camp 2 by mules and hand them over to our teammates.

Start the day well with a delicious breakfast at the Ararat Mountain Base Camp.

After breakfast, start our climb to Camp 2 (4200 m)

The climb is approximately 4-5 hours and the distance is 6.5 km

When you arrive at the second camp, tea, coffee, fruit plate and snacks will be ready for you.

After dinner at 17:00, our guide will give information about the Mount Ararat summit route.

Our guide will check your equipment required to climb Mount Ararat and give information about the use of the equipment (e.g. crampons, shoes, trekking poles, headlamps)

Have an early dinner around 17:00 and go to bed early because you will wake up early.

Day 4: Climbing to Ararat Peak

The most critical day of the Mount Ararat expedition

Our guide will wake you up for a different night breakfast than a typical breakfast time at 00:00-1:00 before sunrise. Have your breakfast and take lunch with you in a thermos, hot water or tea.

(The reason why Mount Ararat trekking companies depart at 1:00 at night is that the weather and ground conditions are more suitable for climbing. To watch the sunrise on Mount Ararat and to see its shadow resembling a pyramid.)

Start climbing the summit under the leadership of your Mount Ararat climbing guide

If the weather is clear, you will see the fascinating view of Türkiye, Iran and Armenia from the 5137 m peak of Ararat.

After the summit, we will descend to Camp 2 to rest a bit (1-2 hours) and renew our energy

We will collect our tents and luggage and they will be transferred to Camp 1 by our team

Return to Mount Ararat base camp (2 hours)

Overnight in tent at Mount Ararat base camp

Day 5: Transfer to Airport

After breakfast, transfer to Domestic Airport (Van/Ağrı/Iğdır)

Say goodbye to our guide and return home with wonderful memories of Mount Ararat adventure.
